YouTube has topped the list of an increasingly popular online offering, boasting the highest video content viewership last month.
comScore’s Video Metrix service revealed that the Google-owned company recorded an impressive tally of 147.2 million unique viewers in May, highlighting the spiralling online video trend.
Overall, 176 million web users across the US tuned in to watch online video content last month, mainly turning to sites such as YouTube, Vevo and Yahoo. Whilst online video is currently reaching a whopping 83.3 per cent of the US web audience, this is predicted to continue to skyrocket over the coming months.
