Online advertisers are expected to flock to China in the New Year, after industry figures predicted that the number of people frequently watching online videos in the superpower will top 300 million.
In its second annual report on online video consumption, research firm CMM Intelligence said online viewing in surging across the globe - but nowhere more so than China.
The country currently has a range of independent video hosting sites - including Youku, 56.com and Tudou - but state-owned media companies are expected to establish formal ventures within the year.
