As more and more people use their smartphones to access the web, news and content providers are busy figuring out how to get people to pay up while they’re on the move.
A report by Reuters concludes that media companies need to change consumers presumption that all web content needs to be free. Otherwise there will no funds to create high quality entertainment and news.
Gartner predicts that the mobile web content market will be worth around seven billion dollars this year, with sales of smartphones rocketing up 40% each year.
