Google News trialling human editors

17/06/2010
Google News has announced it has been experimenting with the use of human editors to select interesting news articles.

The site usually relies on computer algorithms to pick up news and provide its popular online news search service. However, it has recently been trying out the use of editors to collect news for the site.

Although Google says there are no plans to start using human editors, the move suggests that the site may at least be considering a more human approach to collating online news from a vast range of online sources.
